Originally from Upstate New York, Adam Myers has performed and studied nationally and internationally. Adam has held positions with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, West Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and Connecticut Valley Symphony Orchestra along with being an avid freelancer in New England. Adam is also a founding member of Talcott Brass, a newly formed brass quintet that is based in the Hartford Metropolitan Area. He received his B.F.A. in Trombone Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), M.M.P. in Trombone from Valdosta State University where he was the graduate assistant for the trombone studio, and an Artist Diploma from at the Hartt School of Music. His primary instructors are Haim Avitsur, Christian Dickinson and Doug Farwell while receiving additional instruction from Colin Williams, David Taylor, Kirk Ferguson, Tim Smith and Bruce Tychinksi. Adam has held teaching positions at Valdosta State University, Music and Arts, and teaches trombone at Sharps and Flats in Ridgefield, CT.
