Shari Wilcox

Shari Wilcox graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Music Performance Degree in Voice.  As mezzo-soprano, Shari has appeared in opera, operetta, musical theater and as a guest soloist with regional orchestras.  She has performed a variety of roles including the Queen of the Fairies in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe for which she received a Eugene O’Neill Award.  Ms. Wilcox has acted as Producer, Artistic Director and Stage Director for the highly successful Community Music School’s Broadway Bound East Summer Theater Program over the past ten (10) years.  Shari’s CMS musicals include the following productions: Beauty and the Beast; Mary Poppins; The Lion King; Shrek; The Little Mermaid; Peter Pan; Aladdin; Seussical and Thoroughly Modern Millie. In addition, Shari directs the CMS Studio 24 Adult Performance Group which performs twice a year.  She is the Music Director/Choir Director at the First Congregational Church in Essex, UCC.

Shari teaches Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
