Christa Steiner (she/her) is a vocalist and theatre artist who holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre/Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music.
A musician and performer from a young age, Christa was fortunate enough to be a semi-finalist in the 2015 Classical Singer Competition. While attending Manhattan School of Music, Christa was able to perform at Carnegie Hall with Meghan Hilty and The New York Pops, as well as with Kristin Chenoweth in My Love Letter to Broadway. She also had the opportunity to study with incredible professionals such as Victoria Clark, Randy Graff, David Loud, Luis Perez, and Liza Gennaro.
As an actor, Christa has performed such roles as Florence Vassy in Chess, Betty Haynes in White Christmas, Kate in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and Elsa in Frozen: A Musical Spectacular.
Her teaching style is rooted in The Alexander Technique, encouraging students to find the easiest way possible to create their desired sound. She specializes in contemporary musical theatre style, however, she believes that all good singing is based in classical music. As a musician and a theatre artist, Christa is able to work with students based on their individual goals. Whether you are looking for long term vocal improvement, or are looking to coach material for an audition, Christa is excited to work with you!
Christa teaches on Mondays and Tuesdays.
