The ensemble experience is often one of the most rewarding and valuable aspects of music study. This Cello Ensemble class will give adult musicians the chance to play with other musicians, and hone rhythmic and listening skills. There will be a variety of musical styles to learn and parts will be adapted as needed.

Christine Coyle

A native of New York, Christine, is a respected performer and experienced teacher of music known across the northeastern United States. Under the tutelage of Marion Feldmann, she earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The Manhattan School of Music. Christine is a long-tenured member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. She performs frequently with Orchestra New England and has participated in numerous productions at the Goodspeed Opera House. She is a founding member of both the Amaryllis Ensemble and the Taghkanic String Quartet. She believes in developing solid bow and left hand technique to enable refined artistic expression. Her past teaching experience includes time spent as a member of the faculties of Rutgers Preparatory School and the Bethwood Suzuki School. She teaches traditional as well as Suzuki method and is Suzuki-certified. Christine teaches Mondays and Tuesdays.
